With rising competition in Tablet market,Barnes & Noble’s NOOK HD & NOOK HD plus launched in UK to give direct competition to tablet leaders iPad & iPad mini.Moreover,B&N will be utilizing the  B&N’s customized version of Android which will be replacing standard Android OS.The likes of this customized Android version completely depends upon your taste.Although it will be difficult for them to compete with Apple’s tablets,but competitive price point would definitely be a good selling point for B&N.

NOOK HD is packed up with 7″ display with 1.3GHz dualcore processor.Considering the prices,it will be available at £159 for the 8GB version and £189 for the 16GB version. It comes with jaw-breaking display with resolution of 1440 x 900.Surprisingly it’s greater than iPad mini.Micro SD card slot is also provided to match the heavy users requirements.

Looking at the specs of NOOK HD plus, it has a crispy Full HD 9″ display with snappy 1.5GHz dualcore processor.Considering the prices, 16GB model will be available for £229 and for 32GB you have to pay £269.NOOK HD plus is too provided with a micro SD card slot that will be good for users who loves to carry bunch of movies & games with them.
