Using iTunes is a funny business, sometimes it works a charm and sometimes, duh! Last week I backed up my iPhone just to have a recent backup in case of any mishap and undoubtedly everything was flawless. But yesterday when I tried transferring recently added music on my Mac to iPhone using iTunes, this is what I saw – iTunes Cannot Read the Contents of the iPhone, go to the summary tab in iPhone preferences and click restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings. Excuse me, why the hell in this planet would I restore my iPhone to factory settings?
I knew this happened because an iTunes control or preferences file has somehow gotten corrupted on my device, so no way I was going to restore it.
