Last week I was eagerly waiting for Jailbreak to happen and today I am enjoying all the infamous Cydia tweaks to rock n roll with my iPhone. Sometimes it gets hard to believe the thing you were wishing to happen for so long, suddenly happens without any prior knock at your door. It feels so good to enjoy the Jailbreak after long 9 months, isn’t it? For those who are not aware, Pangu has released their latest Jailbreak tool for iOs 9.2-9.3.3 over the weekend and this time also it has all the bells and whistles under it’s hood. We are surely going to tell how you can Jailbreak iOs 9.3.3, but before we begin, read the following facts :


Unlike last few times, this year Pangu has decided to come up with Semi-untethered Jailbreak. What it means to naive users? – Every time you Reboot your iOs device (reboot from battery drain inclusive), you have to re-jailbreak it. I mean, just reboot your iPhone and you have successfully reversed the Jailbreak process, happy? This year Jailbreak is actually safe and sound for newcomers.

Do I need to use a computer again and again to re-jailbreak my iOs 9.3.3 device? Obviously no, that’s why it’s semi-untethered jailbreak. You’ll use the PP jailbreak app on your iOs device every time you wish to Jailbreak it. What a time to be alive, jailbreak using a mobile app.

Once my iPhone is rebooted, do I need to install all the tweaks and customisations once again? Obviously No, you just have to re-jailbreak your iOs device and all your Cydia tweaks will automatically fall into place.

Pre-requisite Before Jailbreak iOs 9.3.3 :

Before you start the Jailbreak process, make sure iOs version is 9.3.3Passcode/Touch ID and Find my iPhone are turned off. Moreover please perform a complete backup of your iDevice. List of supported devices :

How To Jailbreak iOs 9.3.3 on iPhone, iPad or iPod

To Turn off Passcode/Touch ID : Head over to Settings -> Touch ID & Passcode -> Enter your iOs device passcode -> Toggle off iPhone unlock and Turn Passcode off.

To Turn off Find My iPhone : Head over to Settings -> iCloud -> Scroll down to Find My iPhone ->Toggle it off.

Now you are all set to start the Jailbreak procedure, just relax, it’s not a rocket science.

How To Jailbreak iOs 9.3.3 on Mac, Windows or Linux :

Step 1 : Download the Pangu Jailbreak IPA [Download link].

Step 2 : Download the Cydia Impactor [Mac OSX | Windows | Linux 64 bit | Linux 32 bit] file for your respective desktop operating system. Once you finish downloading the file, install Cydia Impactor on your desktop.

Step 3 : Now before proceeding further, I would recommend you to follow the link and create a new dummy Apple id. Though you can use your existing Apple id, but it’s better to use a dummy account.

Step 3 : It’s time to connect your iOs device to computer. After that, launch Cydia Impactor, drag and drop the Pangu Jailbreak IPA onto the Impactor window.

Step 5 : You’ll see a prompt asking for Apple ID, enter the Apple ID and in subsequent window the Password.

Step 6 : If you see this window showing the warning message, tap on OK.

Step 7 : Call someone to pat on your back as you have completed the most difficult part of the Jailbreak process. From now on everything will be a cakewalk.

Disconnect your iOs device from desktop and see if there’s any app named Pangu on Home Screen? It’ll be there only, launch it and you’ll see the warning message conveying Untrusted Developer.

Step 8 : Head over to Settings -> General -> Device Management -> Tap on your Apple ID and then Trust. This way you have trusted the Pangu app.

Step 9 : Now launch Pangu app and allow the prompt for notifications. Finally tap on Start and lock the screen as soon as you are asked to do so.

Step 10 : You’ll see a Lock Screen notification notifying the Jailbreak completion. Just hold on and wait till your iOs device respring automatically.

Step 11 : Once respring is completed, unlock your iOs device and locate the Cydia icon on Home Screen.

Please Note : Like every other time, this time also there are couple of limitations after you Jailbreak iOs 9.3.3 :

  1. An Apple ID can only apply for a certificate for a limited number of devices.
  2. The certificate will expire in 7 days. If your certificate gets expired, you need to follow the entire guide once again to install the jailbreak IPA again. 

In case you are an Apple developer, signing the Pangu IPA with your own Apple ID credentials will extend the expiry date till exact 1 year from now.
