Well, the jailbreak community has heard the needs of thousands of Skype users on iPhone, and yes, now we do have a working jailbreak tweak known as QuickReplier For Skype that adds the quick reply facility to the existing Skype application on your iPhone. So here’s how to get started with using this amazing tweak.
How to Quick Reply to Skype messages from your iPhone
NOTE: QuickReplier for Skype is a jailbreak oriented tweak, and like any other tweak requires you to have a jailbroken iPhone. You can jailbreak up to iOS 7.1.1 easily these days. In this tutorial, we are assuming that you have already jailbroken your iPhone. Kindly take a complete backup of your iPhone before proceeding.
Step 1: On your jailbroken iPhone, navigate to the Cydia application from your device’s springboard and tap the Search button on bottom navigation menu to search for Couria tweak and install it. Yes, Couria tweak is a pre-requisite for the QuickReplier to work.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings->Couria and tap on Skype button there to enable the Quickreplier extention for Couria. In case your device is password protected, you will be required to enter a code.
Step 3: Once enabled, you can configure a multiple options within the Skype button, like customizing how you receive the popup notification to quickly reply to your Skype messages.
You can choose to enable message history to get an overview of what you were talking about. Apart from that you can also add a G indicator which will be added in front of the name on the popup to alert you of a group message.
