We are living in an age of video conferencing, be it for personal use or business. For years, Skype has been one of the leaders in providing multiple user video conferencing services, along with its well known instant messaging and file sharing integration in the same application. While we at GizmoStorm use Skype for almost all our business interactions, like many other readers, we wish there was a provision to run multiple Skype accounts simultaneously on Mac (for example, a “work” account and a “personal” account). Today, we are here with a workaround to Run Multiple Skype Accounts Simultaneously On Mac, you just have to follow the step-by-step Guide.
Before we begin, you need:
- Having Skype already installed on your Mac and already Open.
- Little knowledge of Terminal app. If you don’t know anything about it, no issues. Just look for “Terminal” in Spotlight and open it.
Run Multiple Skype Accounts Simultaneously On Mac:
If you are done with above mentioned requirements, follow the steps provided below.
Step 1: On the Terminal window, type “sudo /Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype” or you can copy and paste the given command as it is and excluding the quotation marks. Press Enter.
Step 2: Terminal will ask for your Password. Enter the same password you use to log in to your Mac or you use while installing any app from App Store.
Step 3: Wait for few seconds, you’ll see second window of Skype popping up.
Step 4: Enter the login credentials of your second account.
Step 5: Close the Terminal Window and enjoy the multiple experience of Skype.
