Pre-requisite To Set Any Song From Music As Ringtone On iPhone :
- In order to customise iPhone ringtone from music without computer or iTunes, your iPhone should be running on iOs 9.1 or later.
- GarageBand app installed on your iPhone. You can download GarageBand for free from App Store if you activated or purchased an iPhone on or after September 1, 2013. In case your iPhone is purchased before the mentioned date, GarageBand will cost you $4.99
How To Set Any Song From Music As Ringtone On iPhone :
Step 1 : Head over to Music library and get ready with the song you wish to set as a custom ringtone. If it’s not in Music Library, then I doubt you have to import or download it from iTunes.
Step 2 : Open GarageBand. In case you haven’t installed it, get it from above link.

Step 3 : In GarageBand, scroll right all the way until you see Audio Recorder. Tap on Audio Recorder and click on Setting icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 4 : Switch to the Song tab, tap on Metronome Sound and put the Metronome level to zero. Once you done, click Done.
Step 5 : Tap the Down Arrow at the top left corner -> select My Songs -> Tap on screen to create a new song and head over to Audio Recorder.
Step 6 : Now select Timeline Icon next to Down arrow icon at top left corner and tap on the tiny + icon at top right corner of Timeline.
Step 7 : Tap on Section A and increase the Counter to 30.
Step 8 : Click on Loop icon next to Settings at top right corner. Head over to Music tab and tap on Songs.
Step 9 : Select the Song from the list, it’ll be automatically imported to GarageBand timeline. Trim it according to your needs and play with the imported song until you come up with the desired Ringtone.
Step 10 : Once you are done with editing the ringtone, tap on Down arrow at top left corner of the screen and select My Songs.
Step 11 : Tap on the created ringtone and click on Share button. From the sharing menu, select Ringtone -> Change the name of Ringtone -> Tap on Export.
Step 12 : To set the edited Song as Ringtone, head over to iPhone’s Settings -> Sounds -> Ringtone -> Select the Ringtone.
