You have an iPhone, thats great but learn to deal with the fact – it can’t be used as any other Android device. I mean I had an Android couple of years back, though it was not as snappier as my iPhone but there was sense of freedom at every step. In fact, it can be used as flash drive with just simple drag and drop, all thanks to it’s robust file management system. Unlike Android, there’s no file management kind of thing on iOs. Want to transfer music, face the tantrums of iTunes. Want to transfer videos, movies, yet again rely on iTunes. But there’s no way to store non compatible programs like exe, dmg, apk files on your iPhone. What’s the point of owning a 128 GB iPhone if it can’t be used as a flash drive? That’s the story of every iPhone owner until and unless you find a clever approach. For the same, today at GizmoStorm, we are here with How To Use Your iPhone As a Flash Drive Without iTunes :
I am showing you couple of ways in which you can use iPhone as USB drive without iTunes, it’s upto you which one you use. The first one being basic and slow approach where as the latter is more robust and effective solution with plenty of additional features.
How To Use Your iPhone As a Flash Drive Without iTunes :
Step 1 : Download and install Free Disk app from the App Store on your iPhone or any other iOs device [Download Link]. Free Disk is a free iPhone usb drive app which can easily turn your iPhone into a flash drive.
Step 2 : Start your Windows/Mac machine and make sure both iPhone and PC are on same Wi-fi network. Free Disk will make use of WiFi direct, so there’s no need of internet connection or access points.

Step 3 : Launch Free Disk on your iOs device, head over to Free Disk menu at top left corner, select WiFi HardDrive and follow the onscreen steps to connect it with your PC over the Wifi.
Step 4 : Once connection is established, your PC/Mac will show a blank window. In the same window, just drag and drop the files you want to store on your iPhone and you’ll be perplexed to see the same file on your iOs device within seconds.
This way you can easily use your iPhone as a flash drive without iTunes. Though the steps are simple, but the user experience with this app is not at par. There are ads everywhere (which can obviously be removed with in-app purchase) and things work quite slowly.
