- A System Windows running 8/8.1/10.
- A USB Drive of at least 16gb.
- An ISO image file of the Windows version that you want to install ( Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10).
How to Install Windows in USB Pendrive:
Step 1: Download the latest version of Rufus software from here. (As it is a portable software, you will not have to install it.)
Step 2: Launch the Rufus software on your PC. A small window appears. Make sure you select the right USB option from the menu.
Step 3: Next step is you have to select the partition scheme for your device. There are two methods for that- One in Legacy mode for that select the “MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computer” option. The another one in the UEFI mode, for that select the “GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer”.
Step 4: Now, select the “ISO Image” option from the drop-down menu next to the “Create a bootable disk using” option. Next, click on the “disk icon” and browse for the Windows ISO image file that you’ll be using to create the Windows To Go Bootable USB.
Step 5: Next, once the ISO image is selected make sure that “Windows To Go” option has also been selected. Once you’re done, tap on the “Start” button to begin the procedure.
Step 6: Finally, the entire process can take some time depending upon your system and USB disk. Once done, the green meter in the bottom will be completed and you’ll get the ‘READY’message below it. And that’s it, your Windows To Go USB is now ready. You can now simply restart your PC and boot up into the USB Stick to experience it.
